Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has launched a Twitter account to tackle bullying.

The 13-year-old, who has supported anti-bullying campaigns in the past, is asking users to "share stories and love".

The account - @Milliestopshate - already has more than 7,000 followers.

It comes as Ed Sheeran deletes his Twitter account after negative comments followed his Game of Thrones appearance.

Millie has been tweeting encouragement to her fans, who have been sending in their stories.

One user posted about feeling "left behind and sad," to which Millie replied: "Your [sic] a strong girl. Remember I'll always support you"., external

Millie also advised another fan that "screaming is not the answer" when they talked about being bullied at gymnastics., external

Millie has spoken out against bullying in the past, tweeting in support of Stand Up to Bullying.

In June, she said: "Any kind of bullying is not okay. Internet bullying is also a major problem. Please don't sit in silence"., external

Her account comes after other celebrities spoke out about negative comments.

Disney star Dove Cameron urged users to "stop pitting women against each other".

The Descendants actor told her 1.2 million followers to "go laugh at something funny"., external

Ed Sheeran said earlier this month that he wasn't going to read anything on the social network anymore - but now it seems he's gone one step further and removed his Twitter account.

Ed Sheeran previously blasted negative comments on Twitter, saying that seeing one "ruins your day"

In an interview with The Sun, the singer said: "I go on it and there's nothing but people saying mean things.

"One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off it."

Previously only using his account for promoting his music, "@edsheeran" has now disappeared from Twitter.

He is still active on Instagram and Facebook.
