A Ferrari worth £260,000 lies in a crumpled mess, just one hour after the owner picked it up.

The Ferrari 430 Scuderia hurtled down a bank and burst into blames on the M1 motorway on Thursday.

Apart from hurt pride, the driver walked away with just bruises.

It may not be a particularly admirable quality but there is something deliciously enjoyable about seeing supercars getting trashed.

So to satisfy that guilty pleasure, here are a few more.

First, let's just remind ourselves what the Ferrari should look like.

But its owner shouldn't feel too bad. He's certainly not the first to prang his classy motor.

The Ferrari Spider 458 was worth £240,000 and it went straight into the most stationary of obstacles - a wall.

It was owned by a company run by the family of Instagram star, self-styled Lord Aleem.

He managed to see the funny side. Maybe it wasn't his no claims.

The £143,000 McLaren was reduced to a charred wreck after it crashed into a house on a Wiltshire country road. Again, no-one was hurt.

Two men hired this Lamborghini Gallardo but, within hours, lost control and ploughed into shops in London's Mayfair.

It looked better in the showroom.

And don't forget Rowan Atkinson

The Mr Bean actor famously loves fast cars - but he's had a few prangs too.

This was the result when he wrapped his McLaren F1 (top speed 240mph) around a tree in Cambridgeshire in 2011.

He walked away but suffered a "minor shoulder injury".

He sold the car for a whopping £8 million after owning it for nearly 20 years - and crashing it twice.
