A woman armed with a handgun has threatened employees at a boutique owned by the Kardashians in Los Angeles.

She returned to the Dash store holding a machete, according to police.

The unidentified woman left the shop both times before she could be arrested.

She reportedly threatened staff to "stay away from Cuba" and shouted: "The Kardashians will be executed if they step on Communist territory."

"We want to know who she is, we want to get her off the streets," said Juanita Navarro from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's office.

Video footage shows the woman pushing the knife into a gap in the boutique's front entrance and walking away from the shop in West Hollywood.

Juanita Navarro also confirmed the woman, who was wearing a jacket with white skulls and a bandana wrapped around her forehead, was the same suspect who had earlier entered the store with the gun.

He explained how the woman had knocked items off shelves and pointed the gun at an employee before walking out.
