Meghan Markle: Suits stars react to her royal engagement

Suits star Patrick J Adams joked that Meghan Markle said "she was just going out to get milk" after news broke of her engagement to Prince Harry.

The actor, who plays her on-screen boyfriend Mike Ross on the show, went on to say Harry was a "lucky man".

He wrote on Twitter: "I know your long life together will be joyful, productive and hilarious."

Meghan, who plays Rachel Zane, has said she is to give up acting when she marries the prince.

Patrick also posted a picture of Meghan's character on Instagram and said he was "so happy" for his friend.

Other members of the Suits cast sent the couple their congratulations on Twitter.

Wendell Pierce, who plays her on-screen dad Robert Zane, said the prince had her "TV father's blessing".

He wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations to my TV daughter Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the news of their wedding engagement. Harry you have her TV father's blessing. Robert Zane approves.", external
