They include Yxng Bane, from the top 10 hit Bestie, Not3s, who's behind the track My Lover and Kojo Funds, who appeared on the song Finders Keepers.
Completing the list is Fredo, Hardy Caprio, IAMDDB, Lotto Boyzz, Mahalia, One Acen and Young T and Bugsey.
Yxng Bane said being picked was a "great feeling" and "massive motivation".
The 1Xtra Hot for 2018 list was revealed by presenter Nick Bright on Monday's breakfast show and was compiled by the station's DJs and staff.
Artists tipped for success on previous lists have gone onto big things including Stefflon Don, J Hus, Rag N Bone Man, Stormzy, Sam Smith and Mabel.
Lotto Boyzz also make the Hot For 2018 list
Nick said: "We at BBC Radio 1Xtra have for years championed new artists coming through.
"Since we started doing Hot For, we have seen the likes of Stormzy, Krept & Konan, J Hus and many others make the list then go on to become superstars.
"I'm honoured and excited to announce the line-up for this year."
DJ Target will host a special show featuring interviews and tracks from some of the artists on the 2018 list on Monday night from 7pm to 9pm.
Lotto Boyzz said being on the list was "extremely phenomenal and humbling" and Mahalia said she felt "so happy" to be included, adding: "2018 is gonna be crazy."
