The Very Large Telescope in Chile has captured the most detailed infrared image yet of the Carina Nebula, a "stellar nursery" visible from the Southern Hemisphere. It has starred in many pictures before, taken at wavelengths we can see - the infrared image here gives far more clues about what is going on behind the nebula's clouds.
