Fish are 'intelligent and emotional'
Fish don’t have a reputation for being particularly clever animals.
But the director of animal sentience at the Humane Society Institute for Science and Policy Jonathan Balcombe argues in his new book that fish are often incredibly intelligent creatures, with consciences and the capacity to feel pain. He told the Today programme all about the social and sex lives of fish.
