Winchcombe meteorite records Solar System's 'year zero'
The meteorite that fell on Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, in February is being subjected to a battery of tests. Dr Ashley King at London's Natural History Museum is investigating the rock's mineral make-up using X-rays. He told our science correspondent Jonathan Amos that this would tell us more about the chemistry that went into making the planets 4.6 billion years ago.
