COP26: India's PM outlines climate commitments, but no net zero until 2070
The Indian Prime Minister has promised that his country will reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2070, two decades after the deadline widely cited as necessary to prevent the most extreme global warming.
It was one of five commitments Narendra Modi made for India, which he said his country would follow in both "spirit and letter".
