Ben Hunte, West Africa correspondent
Ben was the BBC’s first correspondent to specifically cover stories about sexuality and gender. He studied neuroscience on a full scholarship in Malaysia, where he also started a student magazine and events agency. After working in strategy for a tech company in Ireland, Ben became a YouTuber and filmmaker. In 2017, he did a one day internship at BBC News in London, and he never left.
