Unions marched earlier this year against government budget cuts

Thousands of public sector workers, including teachers, court workers and police support staff, will take to the streets in co-ordinated strike action on Thursday, 30 June.

Members of the 290,000-strong PCS union will join teaching unions in a walkout over pay and pensions.

Other unions, including the UK's biggest public sector union, Unison, have warned they could also take industrial action, while transport union the RMT has already voted in favour of a series of separate strikes.
