How will Games Lanes affect Olympics?
Olympics host cities are required to put in place a road network that ensures reliable journey times for those involved in making the Games happen.
But the introduction of an Olympic Route Network (ORN) - along with dedicated Games Lanes for athletes, officials, VIPs and media - has sparked anger from UK residents and businesses, including London taxi drivers.
They are concerned about increased traffic restrictions causing widespread congestion - particularly in the capital.
Transport for London (TfL) told the BBC it expected London's taxi trade to benefit during London 2012, adding that TfL and Games organisers were involved in ongoing discussions with taxi trade representatives about plans for the Olympics.
