Home Secretary Theresa May: Police 'not being picked on'

The Home Secretary has addressed the Police Federation conference in Bournemouth, amid claims she is on the brink of destroying the service.

Forces in England and Wales are experiencing budget cuts of 20% and are in line for some of the most radical reforms for 30 years.

Theresa May told officers to "stop pretending" they were being singled out, and said the police "will have to make their share" of public spending cuts.
