Landmine soldier Ben Parkinson carries Olympic torch

Paratrooper Ben Parkinson, who was injured in Afghanistan and lost both legs below the knee, has walked with the Olympic torch through Doncaster.

Cheered on by hundreds of people, Lance Bombardier Parkinson carried the flame for nearly half an hour in spite of his injuries, which included a broken back, a broken pelvis and a severe brain injury.

The BBC's Linda Hardy reports.
