Residents of Aberystwyth are surveying the damage after a day of massive tidal surges and the promenade took a pounding from waves overnight.
Those living on the seafront and town centre were asked to evacuate properties on Friday evening. BBC journalist Olivia Richwald said there is was "a big clean up to do".

On Friday, flooding hit coastal communities such as this village in Pembrokeshire. The Environment Agency and HM Coastguard has warned people of the risk of being swept out to sea.
Residents were also evacuated from their homes overnight in some parts of Dorset. A wall collapsed at Marine Parade, Instow in Devon.
