Shoreham Air Show crash: 'I told kids to get out of the car'

A motorist who was was driving on the A27 near Shoreham, West Sussex, when a Hawker Hunter jet crashed into several vehicles killing seven people, has said the aircraft "split in two".

South East Coast Ambulance Service said the victims all died at the scene, with a further person being taken to hospital in critical condition.

The plane was attempting to perform a stunt at the Shoreham Airshow.

Ailish Southall told the BBC the Cold War-era jet came down just 15m (49ft) away from her.
