Hailed as one of the capital's most exclusive events, London Fashion Week showcases the latest designs

This year's spring/summer 2016 event is the 62nd London Fashion Week held in the capital

Among the designers turning heads on day one was Irish-born Paul Costelloe, who presented his collection in the ballroom of the Waldorf Hilton Hotel

British designer and artist Pam Hogg was also getting attention for her designs

Crowds eagerly took photographs as Ms Hogg walked down the catwalk with her models after the show

This year the event has officially opened a new location in Soho's multi-storey Brewer Street car park, having previously been held in Somerset House

The multi-storey car park in central London was converted into runways for shows from designers, including Jasper Conran,

Night life is also an integral part of fashion week, and the Vogue magazine after-party often attracts a host of celebrities, in this case designer Victoria Beckham and US Secretary of State John Kerry

Meanwhile, BBC radio presenter Jameela Jamil provided some music at a different roof-top party in the Sanctum Soho Hotel
