Paris attacks: World shows support

People across the world have been paying tribute after more than 120 people were killed in a series of attacks in Paris.

A number of iconic sites - including Berlin's Brandenburg Gate - have been lit up with the colours of the French flag.

In Australia, the Sydney Opera House was illuminated.

As was Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower.

The spire of the One World Trade Center in New York was also lit up.

The National Gallery in London's Trafalgar Square was illuminated on Saturday evening.

A vigil was held in Sydney for the victims of the Paris attacks.

People held "Rio est Paris" signs and the French flag at the Christ the Redeemer status in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The International Peace Bridge, which connects Canada and the United States, was illuminated in the colours of the French flag.

As was part of Jerusalem's Old City wall, to show solidarity after the attacks in Paris.

The Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden, was lit up before the European Championship football play-off between Sweden and Denmark.

Telenor Arena in Baerum, Norway, was also lit up.

In Hong Kong, a minute's silence was held at a vigil.

At the French embassy in Berlin, candles were lit.

Flowers were left outside the French embassy in Kiev.

Tributes were also left at the French embassy in Moscow.

At the BMW Masters in Sweden, French golfer Benjamin Hebert wrote "pray for Paris" on his hat.
