'My son wants to be a girl'
Casual prejudice against transgender people by everybody from doctors, to teachers and the police, is the last bastion of institutional discrimination in Britain today, according to a committee of MPs.
Their report says they found high levels of transphobia across society were undermining the lives of over half a million people, and that more needed to be done to support under-18s in particular.
