Pair arrested after boy, 13, killed in 'firearms' incident

Police believe there was the "discharge of a firearm"

A 13-year-old boy has died after a suspected firearms incident in a village in Suffolk.

Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and are in custody, police said.

Emergency services received reports a boy had sustained "life-threatening injuries" at an address in Thurston at 13:35 BST.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, but died shortly afterwards.

The teenage suspects were arrested by officers and are due to be questioned

Suffolk Police said they believe there was a "discharge of a firearm" and are investigating.

The two suspects have been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
