Court ruling on HIV prevention drug

A court is expected to rule on whether the NHS in England was right to refuse to fund a drug that can help prevent the spread of HIV.

The treatment called Prep has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by 90%.

NHS England says it is up to local authorities to provide the pre-exposure prophylaxis (Prep) drug, but is being challenged by the National Aids Trust.
