David Murton, chairman of the Orwell Astronomical Society, caught the moon as it rose over Orwell Bridge in Ipswich on Sunday night.

Roy McDonald watched the moonrise on Ivinghoe Beacon, in the Chiltern Hills. He said many people watched the sun set and then left, missing "a stunning spectacle by five minutes".
