Killing all UK jihadists is a 'juvenile response'

The former director of public prosecutions has said the defence secretary's suggestion that "dead terrorists" cannot cause any harm to Britain was a "juvenile response".

Lord Macdonald told BBC Radio 4's The World at One programme that Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson's comments, made to the Daily Mail, belonged "in a Netflix series".

He added: "To assassinate all known British IS recruits without any regard to the threat that they currently and imminently present to the United Kingdom is extremely problematic legally".
