Sir Bob Geldof on cuts to foreign aid: 'We don't beat up the world's poor'

Musician and anti-poverty campaigner Sir Bob Geldof has criticised the UK government's decision to reduce overseas aid by almost £4bn a year.

A number of charities have written a letter to the prime minister, saying there is "no justifiable economic need" for the cuts.

The government says it will still spend more than £10bn on foreign aid in 2021.
