UK weather: The forecast where you are
Large parts of the UK are braced for heavy rain, thunderstorms and gales on Friday evening.
Storm Betty, named by the Irish meteorological service, is set to bring more severe weather as it moves in from the Atlantic.
Half a month's rain is expected in some parts and warnings have been issued for thunderstorms and high winds.
