Girl reunited with missing panda

A three-year-old girl from Cumbria is being reunited with her beloved teddy bear following a high-profile appeal.

Mark Milne, 36, from Carlisle, offered a £100 reward after the black and white panda bear, named Issi Noho, went missing during a shopping trip in Gateshead on Friday.

He took action after his daughter Evie was left inconsolable.

The panda was found by a Tyneside family in a lift.

The family put out their appeal after the bear was last seen near the Debenhams department store in the Metro Centre.

Mr Milne said it was a "fantastic outcome" and said his daughter was delighted.

He said: "She is very excited."
