A 78-year-old football fan who was hit by a brick at an away match in Wolverhampton has thanked rival supporters for their best wishes.
Lois Brough, from Nottingham, needed surgery after Notts County supporters' coaches were attacked.
She said she wanted to thank Wolves supporters who sent cards, flowers and chocolates after her ordeal.
A supporters' group also collected enough money for her to see several Notts County away fixtures.
"I cannot express my gratitude for such kindness and it has helped to ease the pain of that terrible incident," she said.
"It wasn't just one thug, there must have been about six of them. There could have been a dozen, all throwing bricks."
'Frightening experience'
She added: "It was a very frightening experience - it takes a while to get over it.
"But to have the tremendous support that I have had from Wolverhampton Football Club and the fans, it has overwhelmed me.
"I think it has been wonderful."
Ms Brough was with a group of fans travelling with Premiere Coaches to the Molineux ground on 21 September.
As Notts County fans were leaving a coach park, youths began throwing bricks at the vehicles.
Three supporters' coaches were damaged, one severely, as they were driven out of the coach park near the ground.
Ms Brough was hit in the face with a brick when it smashed through the window.
The match, which Wolverhampton Wanderers won 4-2, was a stewards-only fixture with no police presence.
