A management team has been announced for a joint company which aims to save council taxpayers in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire millions of pounds.
The firm Local Government Shared Services (LGSS) has been set up by the two county councils.
Its aim is to provide business support services, finance, human resources, procurement and legal services.
By sharing services, the LGSS aims to save the councils more than £25m over the next 10 years.
John Reynolds, lead member of the joint committee from CCC, said: "LGSS is one of the largest shared service ventures of its kind and the appointment of the management board is a historic moment for local government."
