Offshore wind farm plan displayed at energy centre

Details of a giant offshore wind farm planned off the Norfolk and Suffolk coast go on display this week.

Electric power turbines will be built in six phases starting in 2015.

A public consultation on how the first phase, providing power to 800,000 homes, will be built starts with an information presentation on Wednesday.

A joint venture of Scottish Power Renewables and Vattenfall will work together to develop the "East Anglia offshore wind farm zone".

They have launched the community consultation to get residents' views on their proposed development.

The public information day will be held at the Lowestoft Orbis Energy Centre.
