No rise in Dartford Crossing tolls before April

Charges at the Dartford Crossing will not rise until after April 2012, the roads minister has said.
In a written statement, Mike Penning said a final decision on future rises would be announced early in 2012.
The charge for cars was to have risen from £1.50 to £2 this month, with a further rise to £2.50 planned for 2012.
In September, 11 Kent MPs wrote to the government to oppose the toll increases which were to have been introduced this month.
Mr Penning said in his statement that a final decision on the future timing of toll rises would be announced early next year.
A response to a consultation report would also be published at the same time, he said.
