Former England footballer Paul Merson is to appear in court charged with drinking and driving following a motorway crash.
The former Arsenal, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough midfielder was arrested after his car collided with a lorry on the M40, near Warwick, in October.
It is thought the Sky Sports pundit was returning to his Sutton Coldfield home after a charity event in Battersea.
The 43-year-old is due in court at a later date, Warwickshire Police said.
Mr Merson, also former manager of Walsall, was breathalysed at the scene of the crash.
