Chlorine gas stolen from trailer in Lymm

Thieves have stolen potentially dangerous barrels of chlorine gas from a truck in Lymm, Cheshire.

Police are warning the gas could prove fatal in extreme cases if inhaled.

There were eight barrels of chlorine gas on a trailer stolen from Poplars 2000 truck stop on the M6/M56 motorway this weekend.

The theft of the plain black curtain side unit with registration YJ61 ODH was reported earlier and police said tracing it was "a priority".
