On-the-run Lincoln murderer Mark Edmonds arrested

A convicted murderer who failed to return to an open prison in Derbyshire has been arrested.
Mark Edmonds was serving a life sentence at HMP Sudbury for the murder of a mother and her daughter 28 years ago when he absconded on 30 May.
Edmonds, now 52, stabbed Cecily Browne and her five-year-old daughter Khardine on 18 September 1984 at their home in Stainton Gardens in Lincoln.
Police said Edmonds was arrested in Blackburn, Lancashire, on Monday.
He was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court in May 1985.
