Warwickshire and West Mercia Police share Assistant Chief Constables

  • Published

Two Assistant Chief Constables have been appointed to serve Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police forces.

The two organisations have created a "strategic alliance" in order to share a number of resources because both need to make substantial savings by 2015.

West Mercia Police is dealing with a £38m budget cut while Warwickshire Police needs to save £22.9m.

ACC Gareth Morgan will be responsible for local policing. ACC Karen Manners will look after "protective services".
