Independent Ron Ball has won the election to be police and crime commissioner for Warwickshire.

RON BALL - Independent
Ron Ball is a former pilot who has also been a magistrate and a school governor
Ron Ball, external, who lives in Stratford-upon-Avon, has left his job as an aircraft pilot to stand in the election as an independent candidate.
He said that he decided to stand for the election because he believed there was an intention to slant commissioner elections heavily in favour of party political candidates.
Mr Ball said he has experience in working with people during difficult financial situations and has also served as a magistrate and a school governor.
FRASER PITHIE - Conservative
Fraser Pithie is a former chairman of the Warwickshire Police Authority
Fraser Pithie, external, who is standing as the Conservative candidate, has served as a special constable and is a former chairman of the Warwickshire Police Authority.
He has been a member of Neighbourhood Watch for the past 15 years and has lived in Warwickshire all of his life.
Mr Pithie, who is a retired manager for Severn Trent Water, has pledged to cut crime across Warwickshire, to make people feel safer and to give taxpayers value for money.
JAMES PLASKITT- Labour
James Plaskitt was the leader of Oxfordshire County Council from 1990 to 1996
James Plaskitt, external, who is standing as the Labour candidate, is a former Labour MP for Warwick and Leamington and was an under secretary of state in the Department of Work and Pensions from 2005 to 2008.
He has pledged to expand the force with 100 additional officers and 200 more special constables.
Mr Plaskitt also wants to improve services for the victims of domestic abuse and strengthen communities by appointing local area crime reduction champions.
