PRU JUPE - Liberal Democrat
Pru Jupe is a barrister and South Lakeland councillor.
Her pledges include retaining a visible policing presence in every community.
She also wants to keep the police element of council tax down and avoid using private security firms to carry out frontline duties.
PATRICK LEONARD - Labour
Patrick Leonard is the director of a housing association in Cumbria.
He has experience of local government management and was chief executive of Allerdale District Council and is an honorary treasurer of the Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service.
Mr Leonard has pledged to support neighbourhood policing and ensure victims of antisocial behaviour get a response within 24 hours.

RICHARD RHODES - Conservative
Richard Rhodes was a head teacher for 22 years and a magistrate for more than 30.
He is currently chairman of the Cumbria Probation Trust and has vowed to establish "hot spot policing" which would ensure resources were used in the areas where they were most needed.
Other priorities include restorative justice and victim support.

MARY ROBINSON - Independent
Mary Robinson is a district and county councillor, chairwoman of the Carlisle and Eden Crime Reduction Partnership and head of business and marketing at Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery.
She believes in a zero tolerance approach to crime and antisocial behaviour.
Her other pledges include prioritising domestic violence prevention and improving communication with the public.
