Condor Ferries resumed sailings from Weymouth in July following a £4m quay repair project

The broken-down ferry which was taken off the Weymouth to Channel Islands route has resumed service.

Condor Vitesse, which sails to Guernsey and Jersey, had been out of action all week.

The catamaran ferry suffered engine failure minutes out of Weymouth on Sunday.

The firm said a revised timetable would be in place over the weekend with the ferry expected to return to its scheduled sailings from Monday.

A spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience this work on the Condor Vitesse may have caused."
