Tamar Valley Art Trail to include Plymouth artists
- Published
More Plymouth artists will take part in a week long arts trail across Devon and Cornwall this year than ever before.
More than 100 artists from the Drawn to the Valley group are opening their studios to the public across the two counties.
Paintings, prints and ceramics will be on display in and around the Tamar Valley.
The Open Studios event allows people to visit artists in their studios, to see where and how they create their work.
Artist Gay Kent, from Plymouth, said: "This year we've been trying to increase the number of artists showing, so for the first time ever we now have 27 artists showing their work all over Plymouth, 10 people showing in various venues down on the Hoe, and people scattered all over the city.
"Plymouth seems to be becoming a really exciting, creative, cultural city, so we are trying to engage Plymouth people in becoming more creative."
The event will run until 8 September.
