Father and son jailed for armed robbery in Tattenham Corner

A father and son who were found guilty of stealing £45,000 in an armed cash-in-transit robbery have been jailed.
A driver was assaulted and threatened in the raid at Tattenham Corner, near Epsom Racecourse, in January last year.
Terrance Clark, 50, was sentenced to life in prison for his part in the robbery and his son Lewis, 28, was given a 16-year sentence.
The pair, from Battersea, were found guilty following an eight-day trial at Guildford Crown Court.
The court heard how the violent attack had left the victim, James Smith, with significant injuries to his face and hands.
Twitter reconstruction
He lost his front teeth as a result and required bone grafts and implants. He is still receiving dental treatment.
Exactly one month after the offence was committed, Surrey Police took part in what they claim was the "world's first reconstruction of a crime" on Twitter.
Using the hashtags #tweconstruction and #opjadeite, the events of the morning of the robbery were tweeted in real-time on 1 March in a bid to trace further witnesses.
Terrance was arrested within hours of the offence being committed followed by his son six days later.
They both remained on police bail for nine months during the investigation.
The duo had previous convictions for violent offences including cash-in-transit robberies.
