Firstsource to create jobs in Middlesbrough and Sunderland
- Published
Up to 200 call centre jobs are being created in the north-east of England.
Firstsource Solution said the full and part-time posts would be split between the company's existing sites in Middlesbrough and Sunderland
A spokeswoman said the jobs were the result of new contracts being secured with a major telecoms giant and UK-based bank.
In 2012, the company axed 500 jobs in Middlesbrough and Thornaby, after it lost work with insurance companies.
Indian-based Firstsource employs about 26,000 people in India, the Philippines, the US and the UK.
