A British man wanted on suspicion of murder in Spain has been arrested at Chichester Marina along with 17 suspected migrants.

The Home Office said the man, aged 55, was held with a group of Albanians at the marina in West Sussex.

He was detained on Tuesday on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration. Spanish authorities had issued a European Arrest Warrant.

The 17 Albanian man were held on suspicion of entering the UK illegally.

Sussex Police made the arrests after the Hampshire force raised the alert about the yacht arriving at the marina.

"The case is now being investigated by the Home Office Immigration Enforcement," a spokesman for the Sussex force said.
