Scientists say sunflower oil could create self-healing roads

Scientists are tackling the pothole scourge by looking into how roads could mend themselves.

The magic ingredient, according to one University of Nottingham researcher, could be sunflower oil.

Trials are taking place and Highways England is positive.

Among those hoping for a solution is a cyclist who landed on his head in Warwickshire.
