Thousands of homeless people have been helped into homes and shelters during the lockdown, and Amanda was given a room in a Holiday Inn hotel.

She said on the first night “I think I slept for two days.”

Amanda said the security of having a room is something that’s made a huge difference to a lot of people: “We’re finding our own identities again now."
