Right-wing terrorism suspects in court over 3D-printed firearm

Three people arrested in a probe into right-wing terrorism and charged with possessing parts of a 3D-printed firearm have appeared in court.

Daniel Wright, 29, Liam Hall, 30, and Stacey Salmon, 28, all from Keighley, West Yorkshire, appeared via video-link at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

A fourth defendant, Samuel Whibley, 28, from Anglesey, who faces multiple terrorism charges, also appeared.

The defendants were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 28 May.

All four were arrested by counter-terrorism police during raids on 1 May.

All three defendants from Keighley face a charge of possessing articles connected with an act of terrorism in relation to the 3D-printed firearm.

Mr Wright, of Whinfield Avenue, Keighley, is also charged with:

  • Disseminating a terrorist publication, namely a file showing an image of the Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, that encourages terrorism

  • Three offences of possessing a document or record likely to be useful to a person committing an act of terrorism

  • Manufacturing a firearm

  • Possession of a firearm

Mr Hall, of Hill Top Walk, Keighley, also faces charges of:

  • Manufacturing a firearm

  • Possession of a firearm

Ms Salmon, of Hill Top Walk, Keighley, is further charged with possession of a firearm

Mr Whibley, of Derwen Deg, Menai Bridge, Isle of Anglesey, is accused of running an extreme right-wing channel on secure messaging app Telegram.

He is charged with:

  • Six offences of the encouragement of terrorism

  • Two offences of disseminating a terrorist publication that encourages terrorism
