Two people are still in hospital in a serious condition after a house fire which killed two women.

The women in their early 20s died after the fire in Dunstall Hill, Wolverhampton, during the early hours of Saturday.

Two men, aged 19 and 22, arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail, police said.

The pair were among the four people taken to hospital after the fire, a spokesperson added.

A woman remains in hospital along with a third man, 46, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains under arrest but is in hospital until fit enough to be spoken to by police.

Officers remain at the scene to further investigate the cause of the fire, police said.

Earlier West Midlands Police said they knew how upsetting the incident was for people in the community.

All three men arrested in connection with the investigation were thought to be known to the women.
