Prisoner seriously injured in HMP Woodhill assault

A prisoner has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being assaulted at a high-security jail in Buckinghamshire, police have said.
Officers were told the attack happened just before 15:00 GMT at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, is in a stable condition, according to Thames Valley Police.
Det Sgt Phil Turner-Robson said officers were working with the Prison Service to establish what had happened.
