Bedford stabbing: Two men arrested after incident near school

Two men have been arrested after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the leg near a school.
The attack happened in Kennet Rise, Bedford, outside the St Thomas More Catholic School, at about 11:30 GMT.
Bedfordshire Police said the victim was not a pupil there and his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokeswoman said two men - aged 22 and 24, and both from Bedford - had been detained on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
An eyewitness told the BBC that armed officers with police dogs were searching nearby fields.
Det Sgt Matt Inwood said: "We are treating this as an isolated incident at this time, but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it and has information that could help us with our inquiries."
In a post on Facebook, external, the school confirmed the incident happened outside its grounds and that all pupils were safe.
"The situation is being managed by police and our thoughts and prayers are with those involved," it said.
