Anglian Water says Flitwick water loss caused by burst main

Much of Flitwick was without water on Thursday morning for several hours
A burst water main left much of a town without water for three hours, a water company has said.
Anglian Water said it is repairing and reinstating pipes on Steppingley Road in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, after a leak on Thursday morning.
It caused a number of properties in the area to experience a loss of supply or reduction in water pressure.
Four schools were closed. Water was restored by about 10:00 GMT on Thursday.
Woodland Middle School, Flitwick Lower School, Kingsmoor Lower School and Templefield Lower School were all shut for the day, but reopened on Friday.
Woodland tweeted, external that it had had "no toilets, no drinking or cooking facilities".

An Anglian Water spokesman said: "The team have been completing the repair on the pipe and there are three-way traffic lights up at the moment while the repair and reinstatement to the road takes place."
He apologised for the inconvenience caused.
