A1M motorway closed near Welwyn after motorbike crash

The A1M was closed in both directions between junction 6 for Welwyn and junction 7 for Stevenage

Part of the A1M motorway in Hertfordshire is closed after a motorbike crash.

The road was closed both ways between junctions six and seven near Welwyn following the crash at about 11:25 GMT. One southbound lane has reopened.

Two people, riding on a motorbike, were seriously injured and an air ambulance landed at the scene. There are extensive delays in the area.

Officers believe two other vehicles may have been involved.
