Tewin: £120,000 worth of jewellery stolen from home

Jewellery worth more than £120,000 has been stolen in a house burglary in a village.

Hertfordshire Police released details of the theft which happened on 21 October in the Upper Green area of Tewin, near Welwyn Garden City.

Necklaces, bags and watches were taken from the house at about 20:30 BST.

The owner, who was in at the time, was alerted by a barking dog, and upon investigating the kitchen noticed her necklace on the floor outside.

Afterwards she found the bedroom had been ransacked.

Police have urged anybody with information to contact them.
